Version 1.4.1U introduces anti-piracy measures.
Nintendo's latest firmware update for the DSi is blocking certain flashcarts that allow users to play homebrew and pirated games.

The optional update titled version 1.4.1U is the first for the handheld since last August, and the official line is that it "provides behind-the-scenes improvements to system performance". However, owners of a number of flashcarts are reporting that they've been blocked out by the firmware.

Flashcarts for the DS which enable pirated and homebrew games were outlawed in the UK this July.
