Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan

Quote :: Rikuo Nura is part human and a quarter yōkai (demon). Because he is only a quarter yōkai, Rikuo is able to turn into his yōkai form only after sunset, when the moon is out; he turns back into his human self when the sun rises. He lives in a house full of spirits along with his yōkai grandfather. Trying to escape his fate, he does good deeds in order to avoid becoming a yōkai, despite his grandfather's wish that Rikuo succeed him as master of the Nura yōkai clan. Rikuo is a different yōkai because he helps humans. He eventually comes to terms with his demon blood and decides to take up the position of Young Head of the Nura house. Multiple factions aim to stop him or usurp his position, and he must gather friends and allies, a new Hyakki Yakō under his banner of "Fear".

At first i was like: "What is this generic shit" Then im like: "OH SHIT THIS KID AINT FUCKIN AROUND ANYMORE!!"

I thought the MC was going be a little bitch like the MC from DNAngel but he turns out to be a total badass at one point. He aint afraid to kill. Im already at episode 11 of Season 1 and im enjoying it even though it uses the same old generic highschool crap but the whole "mafia" like plot what made me fall in love with it. I have yet to start Season 2.

Shonen Jump? Well the kid already looks like he's ruining the animu but meh another shonen animu can't hurt.

I like this one a lot more than Bleach and Naruto which i hated so much. This one of their much better stuff they've done. And Nura is a pretty cool character compared to the other Shonen MCs.

it starts off like every other generic chinese crap but it gets better over time.

It did remind me of Keikaishi too except it doesnt suck. Every character isnt annoying in this one. i find them all likeable except for the hyperactive best friend character.

I just finished season 1. I must say this is far more enjoyable than the other stuff Shonen made. Its not bad.

I just watched 1st ep... boring start and that damn mc voice actor just makes me want to punch him for doing that pathetic voice. Anyway I believe if this gets dub Johnny will be doing the voice of the mc.

Man why does hulu have bad quality for the eps?! I've seen anime in 400p look better than that in full screen. I'll try the rest of the episodes some other time, Shonen anime hardly interest me and the sub meh too childish but it is Shonen. Damn the rage of 1st episode.

i dont mind the quality. it doesnt bother me.

Give it time. The show doesnt really pick up until the fifth or sixth episode. I usually hate anything Shonen but i liked this better compared to the other crap.

This something you'd see in cartoon network or disney, most likely disney. its an okay show. Nothing spectacular but fun. And the cliched weakling turns into powerful warrior did made me lol. I guess i liked it because of the Mafia plotline, that part of the story was interesting. The action in this is decent atleast. It doesnt have that fast intense action that you see in more high quality cartoons though.
